Speech therapy may be recommended by various professionals.  Your child may need help learning to speak, correctly make sounds, put sentences together, or manage their saliva/food.  Verbal children may be referred for therapy to improve their understanding of what is said to them or to help them better express themselves.  Speech therapy may be recommended for children with:

birth injuries, learning problems, or developmental disabilities

speech and or language delays or impairment

feeding or oral motor difficulties
