is co-owner of Wee Speech, P.C.. She is an NDT certified speech and language pathologist with many years of experience working with babies and young children. Special areas of interest include oral motor, praxis, feeding and developing communication and early speech skills in the neurologically involved child.
is co-owner of Wee Speech, P.C.. She has over 25 years of pediatric experience. She is NDT certified and has provided speech and language assessment, treatment and staff training in a variety of settings including public and private schools, private clinics and residential facilities. Her interest areas include language disorder, apraxia, motor speech disorder and augmentative communication.

who received her B.S. from the University of Illinois
Alex Warehime recently moved to the Chicago-metro area. Prior to working at Wee Speech, Alex worked for Lawrence Public Schools, in Lawrence, KS. There she worked with school aged kids with articulation and language disorders, as well as those with autism, and AAC needs. She attended graduate school at the University of Kansas with an emphasis in Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
is a speech-language pathologist who joined Wee Speech three years ago. In 2006 she graduated from Ohio State University and decided to move to Chicago to start her career. She is a certified member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed within the State of Illinois. She has worked in various settings including skilled nursing facilities, private and public schools, and clinics. Over the years she has developed interests and received training in augmentative and alternative communication, literacy, and childhood language. She highly enjoys working with children and their families.
is a renowned PROMPT specialist who was the founder of Can We Talk, Inc. servicing infants to adolescents in the NY area. She is a graduate of New York University and has brought her expertise to us.
Lisa graduated from
Indiana University in 1989 She worked in Hinsdale Hospital's Pediatric
Rehabilitation Department from 1989 until 1999. While working at Hinsdale
she did part-time work at Wee Speech and contract work for the school
system in the western suburbs. Following the birth of her daughter in
1999, she decided to start a practice solely at Wee Speech. †She
was NDT trained in 1994 and has a long list of continuing education Cascade
DAFOs, Beverly Cusick's Developmental Orthopedics, Advanced NDT courses,
Kinesio Taping in Pediatrics and Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation
for Pediatrics.
is an associate
professor of special education at Northeastern Illinois University and
has been in private practice as a licensed clinical social worker for
15 years. He provides individual, group, and family counseling services
and specializes in supporting children who have regulatory and behavioral challenges.
is the owner of
Timber Ridge Pediatric Therapy, LLC. She has been practicing OT for 10+
years and has experience with all stages of life including: preemies in
the neonatal intensive care unit, in-patient and outpatient pediatrics,
pregnant mothers on bedrest, and
has experience working
with children from birth to 18 years of age in various setting including outpatient, home, and school based services. She is
an Early Intervention provider and certified in the Therapeutic Listening program.
Her areas of special interest include sensory integration, fine motor
and visual motor coordination, and core strengthening. She loves collaborating
with families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals as an integral part of a
child's success. Maria enjoys spending time with family and friends reading, and being
outdoors.
started working
with kids with special needs when she was 12 years old. By 17, she knew
she wanted to pursue an occupational therapy career. Rachel realized that
dream in 1996 when she earned her degree in occupational therapy from
the University of Illinois at Chicago. Rachel worked for 15 years at Keshet
Sunday School with children who have autism, hearing impairment, and other
developmental disorders. Before coming to Timber Ridge Pediatric Therapy,
Rachel worked at Pediatric Alternatives in Creative Therapy (PACT) at Condell
Medical Center in Libertyville, IL, for more than 12 years. She has experience
