There are a number of indicators that a
child may need intervention.
The following is a partial list:
- Difficulty
following directions or responding to questions
- Reduced
speech intelligibility
- Limited
ability to express wants, needs or ideas
- Compromised
ability to participate in conversation with adults or peers
- Poor
written language skill
- Refusal
to try new foods
- Limited
repertoire of foods eaten
Over
or under responsive to noise, touch, movement
- Drooling
past age 2
- Difficulty
with writing, self-feeding, or dressing
- Clumsiness,
frequent tripping, falling
